WGS member, John Kerry, was the Democratic Presidential candidate! History in the making: a first for a U.S. Guitar Society

Senator Kerry with Mike BardSenator John Kerry, a student of the guitar, who also joined the WGS when he had more time for such things, was the Democratic Party's nomination for President. Senator Kerry studied guitar here in D.C. with Michael Bard, who served as Vice President of our society for a number of years.
